One thing I have noticed over the years is that many of us know what individual foods or ingredients are healthy, but the missing key to making these foods work for you is understanding how to put them together as a whole.â

As an example - I often see people eating really healthy foods at breakfast, lunch, etc. but these meals are often missing a KEY component to balance it out (usually fats at lunch or protein at breakfast).â
Breakfast may look like this:â
Overnight oats with almond milk and fruit - this is great! Healthy ingredients for sure, but you may need more fats and protein if your energy is crashing mid-morning (Greek yoghurt for protein + seeds for healthy fats are an easy addition, or instead, try coconut yoghurt for fats with some collagen powder mixed through for a protein boost).â

Lunch may look like this:â
Salad with chicken - also great! But make sure it has some starches/carbs like sweet potato or chickpeas, plus healthy fats like pesto, an olive oil dressing, etc. These additions keep you nourished and full (+ make it extra tasty too đâ ).

Some people may need more fats than others, and some may need more carbs. But this is a simple formula to help you get started eating your way towards better hormone balance.

When I started doing this with my meals, my energy completely transformed. Sometimes I don't have half a plate of vegetables with my meal (usually at breakfast), so I just ensure that I've included protein, fats, carbs and some fruit or a vegetable still helps me to feel so much more energised for hours đâ .
