What Foods to Eat for Balancing Hormones ✨



The first place to start is to set a strong foundation base with macro balanced meals + meal timing to support your hormones.


This fuels the energy tank and keeps blood sugar balanced - aka. stable energy & moods (I show you exactly how to do this inside my hormone balance course, Nourished Glow 🌟).


Next, you can focus on healing foods to add to your foundation.


SEAWEED

Rich in iodine to support healthy thyroid function (the thyroid is the master gland for your metabolism 🔥 - your thyroid hormones are literally made of iodine). 1 packet (5g) of seaweed snacks = 110ug of iodine which is 73% of your RDI!


LINSEEDS/FLAXSEEDS

These help to shift oestrogen metabolism to a healthier pathway, plus flaxseeds are a good fibre booster to help sweep out waste from the body (including oestrogen), they contain calming magnesium & anti-inflammatory omega 3 fats.


DANDELION ROOT

A caffeine-free tea/coffee alternative ✨ to reduce nervous system stimulation (calming the adrenals in the process). Plus, its bitter properties help to improve digestion, including bile secretions (which is how the body transports toxins & oestrogens out of the body) 🥑


BRAZIL NUTS

Another win for the thyroid 💃 They're rich in selenium, which is needed to activate your thyroid hormones and one Brazil nuts = up to approx. 60-90mcg per nut! So just 1 Brazil nut alone will give you your RDI of selenium for the day.


BROCCOLI

Broccoli (and other cruciferous vegetables) support liver detoxification of oestrogen (and also fibre to sweep it out). Eat around 1 cup of cooked cruciferous veg a day to help this process along 🧹
